Rebecca Coughlan
Solicitor – Commercial Property
Rebecca is a solicitor in the firm’s Commercial Property Department, having been admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in April 2026.
She completed her undergraduate Law and French degree at UCC and obtained the Diplôme d’Études Universitaires Françaises on completion of her third-year placement at Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3, where she partook in their law program run entirely through French. Rebecca also obtained her certificate in professional financial advice in 2022. As a trainee solicitor, Rebecca gained considerable experience in commercial and residential conveyancing transactions and gained further experience in the areas of corporate and commercial.

Rowan Bromham
Legal Executive – Commercial
Rowan is a South African qualified lawyer and completed his legal training at one of the “Big Five” commercial law firms in Johannesburg, South Africa. After being retained as an associate in a team specialising in large-scale M&A transactions, Rowan moved in-house with a corporate finance firm, where he advised listed companies across a range of M&A, take-private and capital market transactions and listings rules and regulations.
Rowan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Law and Economics as well as an LLB degree from Rhodes University and works as a legal executive in the corporate & commercial team whilst studying towards his solicitor conversion exams.

Patrick Sheehan
Head of Corporate Governance & Head of Killarney Office
Patrick is a solicitor with over 30 years’ experience advising individuals, families and businesses across Kerry and the South West. He led the practice formerly known as Patrick Sheehan Solicitor from 2004 until its merger with Orbitus Law LLP in October 2025.
Patrick leads Orbitus’ Corporate Governance and ESG advisory services and advises SMEs, credit unions and owner‑managed businesses on governance, compliance and risk. He also advises on litigation, property and commercial transactions, corporate and commercial matters, and estate planning.
Patrick is known for his practical, commercially focused approach and his commitment to building long‑standing client relationships.

Zoe O’Connor
Solicitor
Zoe is a dual-qualified solicitor admitted in both England & Wales and Ireland. She began her legal career in England, working in litigation on complex insurance claims and fraud matters for a major insurer, where she developed strong analytical and case management expertise. After relocating to Ireland, Zoe gained further experience working alongside solicitors in a well-established Dublin practice across a range of areas including litigation, probate and conveyancing.
Now based in Tralee, Zoe joins our Beam team focusing on residential conveyancing, supporting clients through the property process while contributing to our firm’s commitment to modernising conveyancing through digital systems and innovative ways of working.

Originally from Tralee, Sasha graduated from University College Cork with a BCL in Law (International), which included a year studying abroad in Budapest.
She is currently sitting her FE1 examinations and works in the Cork office, where she is involved in compliance and carries out front desk duties, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the office while continuing to build her experience in the legal field.

Aoife graduated from Law Plus at the University of Limerick in August 2025. She first joined Orbitus on her co-op placement from May 2023 to January 2024, gaining hands-on experience across a range of practice areas before returning to the firm this year.
Now working within our Commercial team alongside Ben Hardy, Aoife is also completing her FE1 exams as she continues to build her legal career.

Moeez is a Tax Intern and a third‑year Accounting and Finance student at the University of Limerick, joining the firm as part of his cooperative placement. He is gaining practical, hands‑on experience in tax compliance and advisory work while applying his academic knowledge in a professional setting.

Kamila Piecuch
Solicitor
Kamila commenced her legal career when she first joined a Cork based office in 2017 as part of her University College Cork placement. She is a recipient of a Law Department Work Placement Award awarded in recognition of her outstanding performance during her University College Cork placement there.
Kamila qualified as a Solicitor in April 2026.
Kamila’s primary areas of expertise are property law and civil litigation.

Geraldine Conroy
Solicitor, Killarney
Geraldine graduated from University College Cork in 1991 with a Bachelor of Civil Law degree and was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Ireland in 1995. She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Supervisory Management from The Institute of Commercial Management.
A trusted adviser to Boards and Executive teams, Geraldine served for many years as Head of Group Legal and Group Compliance at the FEXCO group of companies until 2011, advising during a period of significant growth.
She has also acted as in-house Senior Legal Adviser to a venture capital and investment management firm, and as External Legal Adviser to Irish and international corporate clients. Her expertise includes corporate transactions, financial services law, commercial contracts, intellectual property and employment law.
Since returning to private practice in 2017, Geraldine has advised private clients on a range of personal and business matters, with particular expertise in conveyancing and probate.

Danielle works as a legal secretary in our Killarney office and brings over six years’ experience in legal support roles. Danielle is known for her professional and approachable manner and is committed to providing a high standard of client care. Daniel recently graduated from the University of Limerick with a degree in Law and Accounting. He completed a co-operative education placement with Orbitus in 2024, which provided valuable insight into law and tax and helped him decide to pursue a career in law.
Daniel has now re-joined Orbitus, working in the Litigation Department alongside Eoin Casey, where he is gaining practical, hands-on experience while completing his FE1 exams. Niamh Vivier

Niamh graduated in 2024 with a BScSoc in Social Sciences, focusing on Economics, Politics, and Social Policy. Before joining Orbitus, Niamh gained valuable experience contributing to the expansion of an Irish franchise to the East Coast of the United States, focusing on their business development. Luke Tuohy

Luke graduated from the University of Limerick with a Bachelor’s degree in Law Plus, so he’s already well-versed in the legal sphere. During his studies, he completed his co-op placement in Luxembourg, where he gained valuable experience working in structured finance as an intern.

Rachel Reidy

Rachel graduated from the University of Limerick in 2008 with a degree in Law and European Studies and qualified as a solicitor in 2014. She trained within a Tralee and a Cork-based firm before returning to Kerry, where she spent the past decade with a respected Tralee practice.
Over her career, Rachel has built extensive experience across residential property, probate, litigation, and family law, with a strong reputation for client service and practical, solutions-focused advice.

Triona started her career in general practice gaining in depth experience in a wide range of legal areas. She subsequently moved to a role in a public sector agency where she worked in Freedom of Information Law. Subsequently, Triona moved to a large Irish legal firm where she worked mainly on litigation matters including Discovery and Regulatory Investigations. Most recently, Triona worked for an Irish legal service provider on Discovery and Data Protection matters.

Noirin is a solicitor with over 30 years of legal experience.
Originally from Ballylongford in North Kerry, Noirin has spent two decades practising law in Tralee and has seen the legal industry evolve in many ways but felt that conveyancing was lagging behind.
When she saw how Beam our digital conveyancing system was approaching property, she viewed it as a breath of fresh air. Giving clients the ability to interact from an online platform and no longer having to take time out of their day to come into an office for signing.

Brendan Hogan
Solicitor
Brendan has spent a number of years working in Cork city law firms primarily in the property area, gaining considerable experience in commercial property, residential property, and commercial lending. He also worked as an in-house solicitor in the legal division of the National Asset Management Agency, advising on receivership issues and the disposal of commercial assets, including hotels and shopping centres.
During the course of his career, Brendan has also advised utility companies on land and wayleave acquisitions for large-scale infrastructural projects and has been involved in advising several solar energy companies on the development of solar farms across the country. Brendan graduated from University College Cork with a Law degree and later pursued a Masters in Computers and Law at Queens University Belfast.

Carmel joins us from a well-respected Cork-based law and tax firm and has a Certificate in Conveyancing. She completed her conveyancing training at a top tier Dublin law firm.
Carmel’s unique insight into automating manual legal processes stems from her work on a development team that implemented a compliance monitoring system at a multi-national financial services company.

Jennifer O’Brien
Head of Human Resources
Jennifer O’Brien is a seasoned HR professional with over 12 years of experience in both HR consultancy and hands-on industry roles.
Jennifer has been appointed as the Head of Human Resources at Orbitus HR, where she specialises in providing bespoke HR services and support to Orbitus clients. Her role complements the company’s multidisciplinary approach, which spans legal, tax, and finance.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from University College Cork, and a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management from Munster Technological University, with associated CIPD certification.
Her academic background, combined with her extensive experience, equips her with a unique perspective on HR Management and Strategy. Cathal Murphy
Legal Executive
Cathal graduated from the University of Limerick in 2022 with an LLB in Law and Economics. While studying for the New York Bar, he gained three years’ experience as a Property Legal Executive. Having passed the Bar in July 2024, he is due to be sworn in in New York in January 2025. At Orbitus, Cathal focuses on property registrations with Tailte Éireann, ensuring compliance with undertakings to banks, and furnishing Certificates of Title and title documents once registrations are complete.

Ben Hardy
Partner & Head of Commercial
Ben began his career in private practice in Sydney, initially with a full-service Sydney-based commercial law firm, before joining a national firm with offices across Australia, working in commercial litigation and dispute resolution for large corporations, SMEs, public agencies and councils, and high net worth individuals.
More recently, Ben was in-house with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, working primarily on media law, defamation and intellectual property disputes, along with the myriad of other fires that in-house lawyers are often called on to put out. Since joining Orbitus Law LLP in October 2022, Ben has re-directed his commercial experience to transactional work as a member of the Corporate & Commercial team.
Ben holds dual degrees in Law and Arts from the University of Western Sydney, as well as a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney, with a focus on corporate law.

As the Accounts and Office Manager of Orbitus, Declan brings a wealth of managerial and motivational talents with him to the group. Having a background in retail management, Declan honed his skills for over 25 years as the Managing Director of his family wholesale business. With a keen eye for figures, Declan manages our client accounts ensuring all receipts and payments are controlled and balanced on behalf of our valued clients. He is responsible for the creditor and debtor ledgers ensuring the smooth running of the office from a financial aspect. Declan believes that a positive office is a productive office and strives every day to ensure that the office environment is calm and welcoming to all. Declan loves nothing more than a good pint of Guinness (from an old glass) whilst watching his beloved Liverpool. Sipping cappuccinos in Courtmacsherry in the summer sun is his slice of heaven. As a regular gym-goer, Declan puts the younger Orbitus generation to shame and he tells them too!

Ilze is a solicitor on the Litigation Team at Orbitus. Since joining the legal world in 2015, she has honed her litigious skills over the years. Qualifying as a solicitor in 2019, Ilze takes her extensive experience in defence litigation, public liability, employer’s liability, and occupier’s liability as well as attendance in court proceedings across all forums and mediation matters to find solutions to her client’s challenges. Always looking to add to her resume, Ilze obtained a Diploma in Technology and IP Law and has a keen interest in Data Protection and Technology law.

Julianne is a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) and a Tax Director in Orbitus where she delivers a broad range of tax consultancy services to both private and corporate clients and deals with diverse matters from succession planning to corporate restructuring.
Qualifying with a legal background, Julianne’s interest in tax began early in her career. Completing a higher diploma in Business Studies at UCD Smurfit School, Julianne continued to enhance her tax skills in the tax departments of A&L Goodbody and KPMG. Julianne continued her studies gaining a qualification as a Trust and Estate Practitioner and lecturing for the Irish Tax Institute in both Law and Capital Acquisitions Tax.
Julianne has gained practice, industry and management experience from working with legal, accountancy and property development/construction firms.

Louise is Head of Litigation and Dispute Resolution in Orbitus Law LLP where she advises on all aspects of commercial litigation, with a particular focus on areas of contractual disputes and financial services litigation.
Qualifying as a barrister, and chartered tax advisor prior to qualifying as a solicitor, Louise’s invaluable experience and knowledge in these three fields allows Louise to deliver clear, pragmatic and commercial advice to clients so that they can achieve the best commercial outcome.

Louise manages the prosecution and defence of proceedings across all levels of the Irish Court system, including the Commercial List and has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution procedures. Louise also has a great interest in employment law and advises commercial clients and their HR departments on all aspects of employment law which can arise on a daily basis.

Louise Lonergan

When Louise is not problem-solving, she can be seen driving her Mini Bradley Cooper around the streets of Cork searching for the newest piece of furniture for her house. With a keen eye for design, Louise is like a rolodex of information knowing whom to follow and where to go to get the latest design trend (but she doesn’t follow trends). In keeping her house beautiful, Louise also loves to potter around her garden ensuring that outside and in marries in an infusion of colour.
Mike Stack

Mike is a Director of Client Services for Orbitus with a key focus on commercial development and retail clients. Qualifying as a Solicitor in Ireland and an Attorney at Law in New York and with over 20 years of experience in conveyancing and commercial law, Mike brings a unique skill set to the table for and on behalf of his clients ensuring that they receive the best advice and services that are tailored to their ongoing needs and progression. Mike also has qualifications in Trusts and Estate Planning and Finance.
Mike prides himself on his ability to deliver the best outcome for his clients irrespective of the challenges and barriers that face them. He is practical, imaginative, and dogmatic in how he deals with problems.

Having three young kids Mike is a semi-professional unpaid taxi driver and spends most of his free time on YouTube searching for training sessions to impart on the local GAA and Soccer teams that he coaches in the hope that the kids will not figure out how little he knows about coaching. He is a lover of the outdoors and spends whatever free time he can get out on the water where he lives in Fenit or hacking around Tralee Golf Course. Whilst being a Kerry man with the inbuilt obsession for Gaelic Football, he would try not to miss a Munster or Ireland Rugby match and he is currently struggling to come to terms with the ongoing situation at Manchester United in a house full of Liverpool supports.
Paula O’Halloran
Solicitor, Head of Commercial Property
Paula is a solicitor on the Commercial Property Team in Orbitus Law LLP and advises corporate and private clients on all aspects of commercial property transactions with a particular focus on acquisitions and disposals, development schemes, secured finance and commercial leasing. A graduate of the University of Limerick, Paula qualified as a solicitor in 2020, she is skilled at coordinating and solving complex conveyancing issues. She strives to deliver no-nonsense plain-language legal advice to clients. Paula continues to expand her legal knowledge, achieving a Diploma in Commercial Property in July 2022.
In 2019, she travelled to Zambia in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity to build housing in the community of Chipulukusu. Paula received the individual prize for the highest mark in the PPCII Insolvency exam and was awarded first place at the International Academy of Dispute Resolution Mediation Tournament 2020 representing the Law Society of Ireland.

Paula is a property nerd who genuinely enjoys trawling through archaic title documents. Rumour has it she keeps Wylie’s “Irish Conveyancing Law” on her bedside locker. If she is not awake mulling over a title issue at 4am, Paula is up by 5am to get those gym endorphins before work – an annoyingly early morning person. She is a die-hard Taylor Swift fan (which for some reason surprises everyone) and spends her free time outdoors: at matches, in the open water or enjoying a beer garden – she’s generally not fussed provided she can avoid babysitting her nieces and nephews.
Rachel McKenna
Senior Tax Manager
Rachel is a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) with Orbitus Tax where she provides a range of tax advisory services to both private and corporate clients including corporate restructuring, succession planning and tax compliance.
Rachel graduated from UCC with an Accounting degree and subsequently began her career in EY as a Corporate Tax Advisor. Rachel continued her studies during this time securing her Chartered Accountant qualification with ACA and Chartered Tax Advisor qualification with AITI. Rachel spent several years providing tax consultancy and compliance services to both multinational clients and SMEs across various sectors.
Before joining Orbitus tax, Rachel gained further corporate finance and tax experience working as part of the international tax team at VMware large multinational cloud-based computing company.

Another Kerry woman who is a proud contributor to the ever-growing ratio of Kerry versus Cork natives here at Orbitus, Rachel is also a proud dog mom to her beloved Cavapoo, Lucy (who is arguably the cutest dog in the Orbitus family!). When not running around after Lucy, Rachel can be found exploring some of Kerry’s best beaches and also enjoys spending time in the kitchen trialling the most recent trending recipes for her friends and family.
Eoin Casey
Solicitor, Head of Litigation
Meet Eoin Casey, Solicitor and Head of Litigation at Orbitus Law. Eoin joined the firm after practising for a number of years at a well established Cork City firm in a litigation focused role and before that at a prominent Dublin general practice. He was also admitted to practice in Australia at an earlier stage of his career, where he gained extensive international experience in commercial litigation, particularly in the areas of insolvency and debt recovery.
Eoin practises primarily in the areas of commercial and civil litigation where he has represented corporate and private clients at all Court levels across a variety of areas including commercial and contract disputes, probate litigation, licensing law, debt (including commercial loan) recovery and personal injury litigation. He also represents and advises employers and employees in a wide range of employment law matters including at tribunal hearings.

Ross Jackson

Ross is part of the commercial department in Orbitus Law LLP. He has extensive experience advising in mergers and acquisitions, and corporate and commercial matters but has also advised clients in the areas of corporate finance, venture capital and private equity, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, corporate governance and compliance, shareholder arrangements and general commercial matters. Ross advises growing and mature businesses with their corporate and commercial requirements. He also frequently advises on private equity investments and other investment projects, and handled investments for various private, and venture capital, type investors.

Ross has sat on the board of directors of a number of companies, most recently Synergy Credit Union, being responsible for the general control direction and management of the Credit Union and he has also served on a number of committees within that organisation including Strategic Planning Committee and the Risk Committee.

Throughout his career, Ross has worked for clients across a wide range of industries including finance, construction, engineering, transport, technology, commodities, utilities, logistics and shipping, oil and gas, and commercial property.

Ross has practised primarily in private practice, but has also advised clients as “in house counsel” in both the UK and Australia, including more recently acting as Legal Counsel for both LSE and ASX listed companies, which gives him a unique insight into, and understanding of, the day-to-day operations and commercial requirements of his clients to enable him to deliver practical and client focused advices.

When not at work Ross spends most of his time with his two young sons and when given the opportunity he can be found in the ocean, surfing. When not at work Ross spends most of his time with his family, which mainly entails picking up toys and perpetually mediating relations between his two young sons. Ross’ greatest question in life is trying to figure out what he did with all that time before having children. When the stars align, he can be found in the Atlantic Ocean engaged in his passion, surfing. Or, if there are no waves, Ross, can be found fly fishing on some remote lake

Ruth qualified as a Solicitor in 2021 and now specialises in conveyancing at Beam. She holds a Master’s degree in General Law from University College Cork, where she focused on internet law, cybercrime, data protection, and GDPR. This grounding in regulatory and compliance-driven areas of law complements her conveyancing practice, where attention to detail and a thorough understanding of complex legal frameworks are essential.
Ruth has been a foundational support to Beam, working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a high-end service to clients, while continually expanding her legal expertise.

Seamus Moriarty

Originally from West Kerry, Seamus studied Law at NUI Galway and subsequently undertook a Masters in Corporate Finance at University College Cork. He started working at Orbitus in 2021, and focuses on commerical law.
Seamus has also complted his Chartered Tax Advisor exams and has experience in commercial, tax and litigation.

Tommy Walsh
Tax Partner
Tommy is an AITI Chartered Tax Advisor and leads our Orbitus Tax team. He has the extensive practical experience, having provided consultancy services to multinational groups, Irish SMEs, and sole-trader businesses. As Head of Taxation at Orbitus, he oversees a range of tax compliance and consultancy services to both private and corporate clients.
Tommy is also a Council member of the Irish Taxation Institute which oversees the strategic direction and governance of the Institute. The Council’s members include senior partners from other professional services firms, leading executives at publicly listed companies as well as experts from education and the public service.
Tommy’s undergraduate qualification is in Construction Management which he has used as a grounding to develop his tax career. He also undertook a Graduate Diploma in Commerce from The University of Sydney to develop his corporate finance and tax knowledge.
Tommy Walsh
Tax Partner
Tommy, who is one of the proud Kerry natives of the Orbitus team, is actively involved in sports having played senior intercounty football for Kerry for a number of years. He also spent five years in Australia as a professional AFL footballer, representing both the St. Kilda Saints and the Sydney Swans. Tommy is friendly with a certain cast member of Home and Away but we don’t like to name drop here at Orbitus……
His sporting prowess is more limited to the golf course nowadays where he attempts, with some considerable difficulty, to improve his golf handicap on the courses in Cork and Kerry.
Linda Byrne

Linda has over 20 years experience in all areas of legal work, but has particular interest in residential conveyancing for both developers and private clients and probate
Linda trained in Griffth College, completing the Irish Institute of Legal Executives (IILEx) Diploma and joined Orbitus in 2023. Since then, her skills and shining personality have been a huge asset to the private client department.

Cora studied Law Plus with Politics at the University of Limerick, completing her placement with Orbitus Law LLP before returning full-time after graduation. She has successfully completed her FE1 exams and is now a trainee solicitor with the firm. Since joining, she has gained experience across the Commercial, Commercial Property, and Private Client teams, developing her skills through Orbitus' hands-on and supportive training environment.
